  • Bring a rain poncho, plastic bags to protect camera/documents, and a headlamp - weather changes quickly in the Amazon and nights are very dark in the area.

  • Some activities (for example caiman watching) depend on weather and park rules; the operator may adjust the itinerary or lodge assignment without prior notice.
  • Transport from/to the Cuyabeno bridge is not included; entrance fees for some community visits and shaman meetings are extra, and tips for guides are optional.

Meet at the Cuyabeno bridge (Puente Cuyabeno) unless otherwise arranged by your lodge; confirm pickup details in advance - an optional private bus transfer from Quito to the bridge can be arranged for an additional fee.

Summary: This tour takes you in the Amazon rain forest. We saw a lot of wildlife, monkeys, snakes, frogs, alligators, dolphins. A friend that was on tour earlier even saw a harpy eagle! We stayed a Jamu lodge, highly recommended! Rececca tours organized the pick up from our hotel to Cubayena as well!
